OWEN WRIGHT is a professional surfer who grew up on the south coast of New South Wales. In 2011, he had an elite tour victory at the Quiksilver Pro New York, the richest prize purse in history with first place winning $300,000 USD. Owen made 3 consecutive finals against 11 time World Champion Kelly Slater. Owen's equivalent comfort from inside the barrel to in the air have established him as a new leader among the youthful uprising on the elite surfing ranks. He now resides at Lennox Head in northern New South Wales. |
